Event location
The lakeside cabins are 90 minutes from Stockholm by train and bus, on an island called Märsön in the large Mälaren lake.

Four decades celebration
You are hereby invited to celebrate Erin's 40th birthday 🎉
This cosy mini festival takes place at Erin's family lakeside cabins, just 90 minutes outside Stockholm. We start at 13.00 with good food and a classic "långbord" seated lunch.
After lunch you are free to enjoy bathing in the lake, sweating in the sauna, or just lounging around in the forest. In the evening there will be music, dancing, more food and maybe even a performance or two!
We expect around 40-80 guests from all around the world,
so get ready to mingle 💃🪩🕺
Travel from Berlin
For travel from Berlin you can also book a train, there are two night trains during summer, one by SJ and one by Snälltåget. You can check timetables for both on sj.se.
Bus to Märsön
There are two routes to get to Märsön by public transit. One is via Enköping, but on the party weekend there are no trains to Enköping, only replacement buses because of track work.
The other route goes via Strängnäs, those trains have a lot of capacity and usually never sell out. But can still be good to book your tickets in advance. SJ's booking system will show you both routes.
Arriving by bus or car
Walking along Road 55 from the bus stop to the party might look easy,
but there are no sidewalks and big trucks
drive full speed with limited visibility.
So please take the safer blue path among the houses ☺️
Note: When arriving with bus from Strängnäs, first you need to cross the large road 55.
Cars need to make a sharp turn off Road 55 onto our small path,
so drive carefully.

Return journeys
Many people will leave on Sunday and there are only five connections, so some might sell out. Remember we don't have lunch planned for guests on Sunday, only breakfast, but you can eat your breakfast at any time. So, plan your trip back to Stockholm accordingly.

Practical info
Please feel free to bring partners, lovers and children. Children are welcome during the day, then in the evening the party vibes will increase and some later performances might be adults only. If you want to bring your best friend, that might work too, but please ask Erin first.
Dress code
Dressing up in something summery, flowery and colorful that you feel comfortable in is highly appreciated. If you need more inspiration then the colours purple, lilac or violet are always a great choice!
Drinks
For drinks there will be a self service bar with beer and wine. Pay easily with donation via swish, cash or paypal.
Overnight stay
For those that want to maximise their visit, you can join us already on Friday evening and stay until Sunday afternoon. Bring a tent or a camper van to create your own sleeping spot, or reserve space in the large shared tents when registering.
Arrival and departure
Guests are welcome from 15.00 on Friday. You then have to leave by 15.00 on Sunday. There will be no Sunday lunch served for guests, only breakfast and leftovers. This is to ensure enough time to prepare and clean up, thank you 💜
Gifts
No birthday gifts are required, but donations to make this celebration a reality are very welcome. You can already send your donation, see the donation page for instructions.
Awareness
We want everyone to feel safe and enjoy their time with us, so please make sure to always ask for consent, be mindful of your alcohol consumption and reflect on how much space you give your own desires over others.
If you at any point feel uncomfortable for any reason, you can always reach out to us organizers marked with a colorful brooch, either during the party or after, we are here for you!
Who is Barbarella?
Barbarella is a drag creature born in Berlin from the mind of Erin Storm. She has explored all the dark corners of that town, in desperate search of a decent lover. Now in her prime years she is ready to begin a new search, for nature calls her name!

Packing tips
- towel & swimwear 💦
- sun protection (yes Sweden gets sun too!)
- mosquito/tick repellant (or long pants and high socks)
- allergy pills or any medicine you might need
- sweater or light jacket, it can get chilly at night
for overnight stays
- camping mattress and sleeping bag for shared tents
- if you like you can also bring your own tent or camper van
- ear plugs, because songbirds wake up early
- sleeping mask, the sun rises at 03 AM
Safety tips
- No dogs or cats allowed in any of the houses/cabins.
- No diving, there are large rocks everywhere below the water surface.
- There are ticks out in the forest and tall grass. Make a routine of checking yourself before going to bed to see if you have any uninvited crawlies. If you have time, get vaccinated against TBE today!
- There are some wild snakes around, most of them are harmless water snakes, but there are also a few adders (huggorm) that will bite when threatened. Keep in mind that all snakes in Sweden are protected wildlife and should not be harmed.
- It is usually dry outside around this time of year, so no fires or cigarette butts anywhere except in the fire pit.
- Please avoid using decorations that create plastic litter, so please no glitter, balloons or confetti. We want to keep the natural forest around the houses as free from pollution as possible.
- Oh and pro tip, dont lean against the red houses, the paint rubs off very easily on clothes 🥰
